Trend and Current Status of Forest Resources in the Amhara National Regional State, Ethiopia: A Review

Ethiopia is endowed with diverse forest resources. Amhara National Regional State, one of the administrative regions in Ethiopia, has ecology and diversified flora fauna. Forest resources region provide various uses services to local community. But have faced huge devastation due high human livestock pressure. As a response, efforts been made conserve develop region. However, there lack comprehensive information about current status trend This review provides based on literature search from different sources. The showed that overall resource decreased over time, despite expansion plantation forests. Most natural disappeared remnants are found church compounds other conservation areas.
